These gorgeous coasters make lovely gifts whether you gift them individually or in a set. This pattern also makes a great stash-busting project. I recommend using cotton yarn for coasters but it doesn’t mean you can’t try another yarn it’s just advised.

These coasters are so lovely! I think they could be used for bunting too! Thank you for sharing both the video tutorial and the written pattern. I can’t wait to try it! <3 xx

I believe there may have been a small bit left out of round 5. Shouldn’t there be 1dc into next 3 stitches before AND after the skip 2?

I made this pattern into a basket-so cute with a few pieces of candy tucked inside!

      Hi Sharon

Yes, there should be one double crochet in the three stitches before and after the two skipped stitches – this is actually in the written pattern but the first part is included in the starred section so it reads a little differently The basket sounds lovely! 🙂

I also noticed, in round 2, after the skip 2 stitches, you forgot to put in about 1dc into 5 BEFORE 2dc in 2dc in next 3.
“2dc into the first 3 stitches, 1dc into the next 5 stitches, skip 2 stitches, 2dc into the next 3 stitches, 1dc into the next 7 stitches, (dc, ch2, dc) into ch2 space, 1dc into last 7 stitches. Mark your last stitch with your stitch marker.” I love making these, but following the video tutorial was easier. Some things are left out of the written directions. Thank you for everything! I am a beginner, and really enjoyed making these!

I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the pattern Thank you for picking up on this error, I’ll have this amended in the written pattern. I hope it didn’t cause too much confusion for you.

I tried this about 5 times. I just couldn’t follow where the stitches went after the first row. You made it look easy….
