A podcast covering all things crochet with some incredibly talented people from around the world, sharing their journeys and their top tips. I’ve learnt so much since recording these and find it so interesting listening to others talk about what they do. I hope you feel the same. It can be a bit ‘little fish, big pond’ in the world of crochet. Sometimes you might find yourself in a sticky situation but we’re all here together. A community of crafters making beautiful creations – no competition required. And just in case you missed season one you can catch up here. TABLE OF CONTENTS1. INTRODUCTION TO OUR GUEST2. It’s a pleasure having Merion and Jamie on the Yarn Over Podcast, I always leave our chats with cheek ache from laughing and this chat was no exception. Merion is an editor of Love Crafts who started a Podcast with co host Jamie connecting with crafters from all around the world and I had the pleasure of being their second guest back in 2020 just before Lock Down, if you’d like to go back in time and give it a listen click here. Jamie known as @mrxstitch on Instagram and the founder of X Stitch Magazine creates contemporary embroidery. Jamie & Merion GETTING ORGANISED! We chat all things organisation from planners, apps and the simplicity of pen and paper. Discussing procrastination to getting things done but however you chose to keep yourselves organised join us as we chat timescales when it comes to seasonal crafting and gifting your makes. Between us I believe we’ve invented a new term ‘procraftination’. CRAFTING THROUGHOUT THE SEASONS Merion shares her crafting calendar discussing her go to seasonal makes as Jamie and I joke about what we dream of achieving with two young children, the expectation vs reality! CHRISTMAS CROCHET It comes as no surprise to share that the earlier you start your handmade Christmas gifts the more enjoyable the build up becomes when you can spend time on the quicker more decorative makes to help you get in the Christmas spirit. You heard it here first that it’s never too early to start your Christmas crafting and for most starting in July is where its at! Merion shares her current crochet wip before our conversations floats onto the topic of mermaids. There’s never a dull moment with Merion and Jamie around, expect the unexpected with laughter guaranteed. pin for later MORE FROM MERION & JAMIE You can hear more from Merion and Jamie over on the Love Crafts Show click here to watch their podcast.
