Crochet Terms & Abbreviations

- Slip Stitch (sl st): Insert hook through stitch, yarn over, pull through chain and loop on the hook.
- Treble Crochet (tr): Yarn over, insert into chain space, yarn over, pull through, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.

Hi. Just wondering what size a blanket would be?
How much wool required for a largish throw?
Thank you.
This would totally depend on the yarn you are using, your hook size and your tension. 🙂
Hi is there any chance you could give a video tutorial on this jewel blanket please? Getting into a real mess!
Thanks
Nicky Hudson
Hi Nicky sorry but as this was a guest post there will not be a tutorial 🙂
Hi. I was wondering can I use cake yarn on that blanket? Because that blanket pattern looks cute and i want make that blanket someday (i have little confess I’m obsessed every crochet pattern what I have seen), even those colors looks really cute (some are my favorite colors).
Hi Minna Yes, you can use any yarn that you wish for this blanket, although obviously the results will differ than the blanket shown I think using a cake yarn will make a really interesting blanket.
For the foundation chain: how many chains to make the blanket wider? Is there a multiple that I should work with? Add 60? Double it?
Thank you.
The Jewels Blanket uses the V stitch which is worked in multiples of 3, plus 7 for turning
